After being knighted by King Charles III on 2nd June, at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, actor, producer, DJ, activist, and international star Idris Elba became "Sir" Idris Elba. In recognition of his years of activism, philanthropic work, and community empowerment projects, he received this honor for his services to young people.
The 53-year-old fame, who is most known for his critically lauded parts in 'The Wire,' 'Luther,' 'Thor,' 'Beasts of No Nation,' 'The Suicide Squad,' and 'Hijack,' was initially included in the UK's 2026 New Year Honours list before being presented with the award in person this week.
