Christie, known for writing more than 80 novels, created iconic characters like Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She also wrote classics, including 'Murder on the Orient Express' and 'And Then There Were None.'
Agatha Christie's 11-Day Missing Incident
The mystery began on 3rd December 1926, shortly after Christie had an argument with her husband, Colonel Archibald "Archie" Christie. Reports at the time said Archie wanted a divorce after becoming involved with another woman, Nancy Neele. After the confrontation, Agatha Christie left home with a small suitcase and disappeared.
Her abandoned car was found the next day near a chalk quarry, leading to a massive nationwide search and intense media attention. As the search continued, many theories emerged. Some believed the author had taken her own life, while others suspected foul play involving her husband. There were even rumours that Agatha Christie was hiding in London in disguise.

Eleven days later, Christie was discovered at a spa in Yorkshire, where she had registered using the surname Neele—the same last name as her husband's mistress.
At the time, Christie, her husband, and doctors claimed she had experienced amnesia. However, despite decades of speculation, the true reason behind her disappearance and what happened during those missing days has never been fully explained.
