Director Matt Reeves has given fans a first glimpse of 'The Batman: Part II' by sharing a snowy image of the Batmobile on social media.

The upcoming sequel is set to release on 1st October, 2027, with Robert Pattinson returning as Batman and Reeves once again directing the film after the success of 2022's 'The Batman.'

Reeves posted the teaser image on X with the caption "#SnowTires," hinting that the sequel could take place during a harsh winter season. While he did not reveal any plot details, the snowy setting has already sparked excitement among fans.

More on 'The Batman: Part II'

DC Studios co-head James Gunn recently addressed concerns over the long gap between the two films, defending the five-year wait and asking fans to remain patient. Gunn also confirmed that Batman's famous sidekick Robin will not appear in the sequel, despite online speculation.

Reports earlier this year suggested that 'Game of Thrones' actor Charles Dance is in talks to join the cast as Harvey Dent's father. Sebastian Stan is expected to play Harvey Dent, while Scarlett Johansson has also reportedly joined the project.

Unlike the new DC Universe launched by James Gunn with 'Superman,' starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, Reeves' Batman films exist in a separate timeline.

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson previously revealed that he spent time creating ambient electronic music while filming the first movie. During breaks on set, the actor worked on unreleased tracks inside his trailer while still dressed in the Batman suit.

When 'The Batman' hit theatres in 2022, fans loved its dark and moody take on Gotham City. Robert Pattinson impressed audiences with his intense version of Batman, while Michael Giacchino's powerful soundtrack added even more drama and mystery to the film's gritty world.
