K-pop fans throughout the world are particularly excited about LISA's inclusion. As a solo artist, the BLACKPINK member continues to rule the world music scene, and her FIFA appearance is yet another significant worldwide turning point in her career. Tyla's attendance at several World Cup games further demonstrates FIFA's increasing emphasis on African music and international crossover styles. Meanwhile, Future's addition brings hip-hop energy to the tournament, while Katy Perry's history of large-scale performances, including the Super Bowl halftime show, makes her a fitting choice for such a massive global event.

Canada's Ceremony Adds Local and Global Musical Flair

Prior to Canada's opening game versus Bosnia and Herzegovina on 12th June, BMO Field in Toronto will host Canada's opening celebration. Canadian celebrities like Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, William Prince, and a number of international musicians are part of FIFA's ethnically diverse lineup. Reports suggest the Canadian ceremony will feature a "mosaic-inspired" presentation symbolizing diversity and unity, themes that strongly reflect Canada's multicultural identity.
