Florence Pugh is set to star in and produce the film adaptation of 'The Midnight Library,' the bestselling novel by author Matt Haig.

The story centres on Nora Seed, a woman who discovers a mysterious library where she can explore different versions of her life and see what might have happened if she had made other choices. Pugh will play the lead role, though additional casting details have not yet been announced.

Haig, who will also serve as an executive producer on the project, shared his excitement about the adaptation and said he believes the film is being handled by the perfect creative team. He added that he looks forward to seeing the story brought to life on the big screen.

The movie will be directed by Garth Davis, who is reuniting with Florence Pugh after previously working with her. Davis praised the actress for her talent and warmth, saying the film will celebrate life, its possibilities, and its emotional complexity.

Florence Pugh's Other Projects

Florence Pugh has already built a strong reputation for starring in adaptations of popular books and true stories, including 'Dune,' 'Little Women,' and 'Oppenheimer.' She is also set to appear in the upcoming series 'East of Eden.'

According to reports, pre-production for 'The Midnight Library' will begin this fall.

Pugh also has a busy schedule ahead, with upcoming appearances as Yelena Belova in 'Avengers: Doomsday' and Princess Irulan in 'Dune: Part Three,' both expected to release later this year.

Meanwhile, Matt Haig is expanding the Midnight World universe with a new novel titled 'The Midnight Train.' The upcoming book follows a man named Wilbur, who gets a chance to revisit important moments from his past and rethink the choices that shaped his life. The novel is scheduled for release on 26th May.
