About 'Michael'
The movie follows Michael Jackson's rise to fame, beginning with his childhood in the Jackson 5 and continuing through his early solo career. It highlights both his personal life and some of his most iconic performances. The story ends in 1988 and does not cover the allegations that emerged later in his life.
'Michael' also set another major record earlier this year with the biggest opening weekend ever for a biopic, earning $314 million globally during its debut. Before 'Michael' broke the record, 'Straight Outta Compton' held the title for the biggest opening weekend ever for a biopic.
The film premiered on 24th April and is currently playing in theatres worldwide.
