Megan Thee Stallion is taking her final bow in 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' sooner than expected. The rapper and actress announced that her last performance as Harold Zidler will now be on 1st May, ending her Broadway run earlier than originally planned.

Sharing the update with fans, Megan expressed gratitude for the cast, crew and supporters who made the experience special, calling her time with the production an incredible journey. She also thanked her fans, known as the Hotties, for showing up and supporting her Broadway debut.

Megan Thee Stallion's Role in 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical'

Megan first stepped into the role on 24th March at New York's Al Hirschfeld Theatre and made history as the first female-identifying performer to play Zidler in any 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' production worldwide. Her run had initially been scheduled through 17th May.

Her casting brought major excitement to the production, and her performance earned praise from both audiences and members of the Broadway community. Original Broadway star Danny Burstein shared that the cast and crew embraced Megan, while theatregoers responded enthusiastically to her turn in the iconic role.

Megan Thee Stallion's Broadway Journey

Her Broadway journey also came with challenges. After missing two performances following a hospitalisation in March, Megan Thee Stallion returned to the stage days later and spoke openly about the experience, saying it pushed her to recognise the importance of rest and self-care.

Despite the shortened run, Megan has described Broadway as a meaningful new creative chapter and a chance to challenge herself in a completely different space beyond music.

The early exit also comes during a busy and emotional stretch for the star, who recently confirmed her breakup with Klay Thompson and said she is focused on prioritising herself.

Even with her run ending ahead of schedule, Megan Thee Stallion leaves behind a historic Broadway milestone and a memorable moment in 'Moulin Rouge!' history.
