After weeks of speculation, the rumours have finally been confirmed. The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show is one of the biggest entertainment events in sports history, and Justin Bieber has officially joined the star-studded list.
Set to take place on 19th July, at MetLife Stadium (New York/New Jersey Stadium), the performance will mark the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA World Cup final, bringing together global music icons for a historic 11-minute spectacle.
Rumours Become Reality as Bieber Joins the Biggest FIFA Stage Yet
Fans have been speculating about Justin Bieber joining the already-announced roster, which included Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, for days. Before FIFA and Global Citizen formally announced the Canadian superstar's inclusion on 8th July, the rumours gained traction on social media.

The announcement also received that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will host the event, which will feature Burna Boy, famous Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus.
Reacting to the announcement, Bieber said on his social media handle, "The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I'm grateful to be part of this halftime show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

His addition comes, only a few days before the championship game, making what was already an outstanding lineup one of the largest musical ensembles ever put together for a sporting event.
Why the 11-Minute Halftime Show Is Making History
FIFA has never held an official halftime concert at a World Cup final, in contrast to the Super Bowl. And, that's going to be surely changed on 19th July, when the 2026 final introduces an 11-minute performance expected to attract an audience of nearly two billion viewers worldwide, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who described it as "definitely the biggest stage ever."

Additionally, organizers have stressed that the musical portion will only run 11 minutes, allaying initial worries that the match might be considerably delayed due to claims of a 25-minute performance.
There is more to the halftime performance than just entertainment. The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to generate USD 100 million to improve children's access to high-quality education and football worldwide, will benefit from its production by Global Citizen.
Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, stated it as "the single largest gathering of artists uniting for a cause since Live Aid" and predicted that it would be "the most-watched 11 minutes of broadcast music performance in history."
The first FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is now positioned to be one of the pivotal cultural events of 2026, with Bieber's confirmation ending the rumours.
