Brad Pitt's upcoming survival thriller 'Heart of the Beast' is officially set to arrive in theatres on 25th September 2026, with Paramount Pictures confirming the release date this week.
Directed by David Ayer, the film stars Pitt alongside J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. The story follows a former Army Special Forces soldier who becomes stranded in the remote Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. Accompanied only by his dog, he must battle harsh conditions and dangerous wildlife while trying to survive and find a way home.
Cameron Alexander wrote the screenplay, while production is being handled by Brad Pitt, Marty Bowen, David Ayer, and Olivia Hamilton. Executive producers on the project include Damien Chazelle and several other industry names.

'Heart of the Beast' First Look
A first look at the movie was shown during CinemaCon last month, highlighting the emotional bond between Pitt's character and his dog. The footage featured intense survival scenes, including river crossings, encounters with wild animals, and dangerous moments in the frozen wilderness.
The project also marks another collaboration between Pitt and director David Ayer, who previously worked together on the 2014 war drama 'Fury.' Ayer is also known for films including 'Suicide Squad,' 'Bright,' 'The Beekeeper,' and 'A Working Man.'
