Travis Barker is preparing to share one of the most personal chapters of his life in a new Hulu documentary, 'Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear,' announced on 22nd April.
The film explores Barker's rise from working as a trash collector to becoming a global rock star, while also focusing on the trauma and transformation that followed his devastating 2008 plane crash. The documentary follows his struggles with pain, grief, survival and recovery, offering a deeper look at the person behind the public image.
Directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, the project features appearances from Barker's family, close friends and music collaborators. It presents an intimate portrait of his resilience and the people who supported him through some of his darkest moments.

Travis Barker on His Documentary
According to Disney executive Rob Mills, Travis Barker personally pushed to tell this story because the crash changed him in a profound way. Barker also described the documentary as an honest look at his life after a life-altering experience and said it highlights the incredible people who helped him heal.
He revealed the documentary has been in the works for more than a decade and called the journey of making it intense and deeply personal.
The film revisits the September 2008 plane crash in South Carolina, where Travis Barker and longtime collaborator DJ AM survived after the aircraft went down shortly after takeoff. Four others, including Barker's security guard Charles "Che" Still, assistant Chris Baker, pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland, were killed. DJ AM died a year later from a prescription drug overdose.
After the crash, Barker endured multiple surgeries and skin grafts while recovering from severe burns. He has also spoken openly over the years about battling substance use and coping with trauma.

Travis Barker's Fear of Flights
In recent years, Travis Barker has made progress overcoming his fear of flying, something he has credited in part to the support of his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. In 2023, he shared that he had flown 30 times since the crash, a major milestone in his healing journey.
Best known as the drummer for Blink-182, Barker joined the band in 1998 and helped shape some of its biggest albums, including 'Enema of the State.' He has also worked on numerous side projects and released his solo album 'Give the Drummer Some' in 2011.
'Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear' is set to premiere on Hulu in summer 2026.
