‘Potion,’ A New Song By Calvin Harris, Features Young Thug And Dua Lipa
With their 2018 smash ‘One Kiss’, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa demonstrated they could generate serious magic together. Now, the duo is back with ‘Potion,’ a new collaboration featuring Young Thug. The song is the lead single from Harris’ upcoming album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2.’
The song, which was released on 27th May, is a summer tune that combines Santana influences with a lounge mood. It was teased on Harris’ TikTok earlier this week, with a video of him performing the keyboard, bass and other instruments that make up the song. He also Face-Timed Lipa in the video, who said she’d ‘absolutely’ contribute vocals.
Meanwhile, ‘One Kiss,’ which was included on Lipa’s Complete Edition of her debut studio album, reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart on 21st April, 2018, and stayed on the chart for 42 weeks in total. It also charted at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 28th July, 2018, for a total of 21 weeks.
