Kelly Clarkson Announces The Release Of The ‘Kellyoke’ EP

Kelly Clarkson has uploaded a cover of Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ to promote her new EP, ‘Kellyoke.’ Covers of songs by The Weeknd, Whitney Houston and Radiohead may also be included on the singer’s new album.

On her eponymous daytime chat programme, which airs weekdays on NBC, the pop star-turned-TV host regularly covers other people’s songs. Harry Styles, The Smiths, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran, George Michael and others are among the musicians she’s covered thus far. 

She’s now revealed that she’ll be putting the notion of the segment to tape with the release of a six-song EP. The album, which will be released on 9th June by Atlantic, will feature versions of songs by The Weeknd, Whitney Houston, Radiohead and others.

Talking about her new episode, Kelly said that music is in the DNA of everything she does, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered, she knew it would be the ideal way to start each episode.

Clarkson also performs a cover of the title track from Billie Eilish’s second album, which was released last summer, on the EP.

She also mentioned that over a 500 songs later, and they are still running out of amazing artists to pay tribute to. She also said that picking up just six artists was nearly impossible, but the songs she’s been covering are some of her favourites. And lastly thanked everyone who sang along with her.
