The K-Pop world is always abuzz with new records and this week, the flag bearer is Baekhyun - vocalist and member of K-Pop group, EXO. 

According to a statement from his agency, SM Entertainment, Baekhyun has officially set a historic record with the sales of his second mini album: "Delight". The 7-track album, Baekhyun's second solo project, has officially sold over 1 million copies, making him the first solo "million seller" in K Pop in 19 years.

This impressive record was previously held by Kim Gun Mo, who became a million seller with his 7th album, "#007 Another Days", in 2001. According to reports, "Delight" by Baekhyun has sold 1,018,746 copies as of June 30th.

Baekhyun takes the impressive record a step further becoming the only million seller both as a soloist and a member of a group, leveling up with K-Pop veteran Seo Taiji of 'Seo Taiji and the Boys'. 

Setting this record in 2020, Baekhyun also becomes the only million seller in this decade.

The 28 year old EXO member took to Twitter to post a message of gratitude, addressing his fans. In the recorded clip, he says: "Hello, EXO-L. Thanks to you, our EXO-L, I’ve set a grand record. The record was achieved not on my own, but with our EXO-L, so please enjoy feeling proud. I’ll continue to make you happier, so please wait a bit." 

The lead single from "Delight", an upbeat pop track called '<a href=" made big waves on TikTok becoming a dance trend - #CandyChallenge. Baekhyun has since gone on to release multiple versions of the song, and the album itself.
