Sad news reaches fans of BTS today. The group's management, BigHit Labels, have released a statement clarifying the status of and updating fans on rapper, SUGA's, current health. Further, the statement intimated fans that the 26 year old rapper will be absent from the <a href=" upcoming album promotions.

The statement reached ARMY, fans of BTS, via a post on the online forum, Weverse. BigHit Labels wrote, "SUGA underwent surgery to repair his torn shoulder labrum on November 3. The surgery, to address a problem that had constantly been a health and wellness issue for SUGA, was completed successfully." Further, they wrote, "He must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery".

The incident referred to in the statement was a bike accident that SUGA was in back in 2012. The accident took place while the rapper was carrying out his work as a delivery boy at the time. The result was a dislocated shoulder. However, constant strain, intense choreography and more, caused the problem to worsen, leading to necessary surgery.

The statement further featured a message from SUGA himself. The rapper said, "Please understand this time as being my chance to prepare to meet you again strong and healthy. And, even if I must be away for a short while, please wait for me to come back to you."

BTS are currently preparing for their upcoming release, a full-length studio album titled, "BE (Deluxe Edition)". The album is slated for release on the 20th of November, 2020.
