Wesley Snipes recently spoke out about the delays plaguing Marvel's upcoming 'Blade' reboot. Back in 2019, fans were thrilled when Marvel announced at San Diego Comic-Con that they would be reviving the original 'Blade' film trilogy, which originally ran from 1998 to 2004. However, the project has hit multiple roadblocks, including the exit of two directors and last year’s writers’ strikes, pushing the film’s release well past its initial November 2023 date.

Snipes, who famously portrayed Blade in all three original films, shared his thoughts on the situation, describing the reboot efforts as “kinda rough.” On his official X account, he posted, “Blade, lordylordylordy. Folks still lookin for the secret sauce, ridin snowmobiles in traffic, kinda rough.” He added, “Daywalkers make it look easy, don’t they?” The actor’s remarks highlight the challenging process of reviving the franchise.

Currently, the 'Blade' reboot is set for release on November 7, 2025. However, the recent departure of director Yann Demange could push this date back even further.

The Marvel reboot will star Mia Goth, known for her role in 'Pearl' and Mahershala Ali, a double Oscar winner, will take on the titular role. Ali, who discussed the film with Entertainment Weekly last year, remains optimistic despite the setbacks. He expressed confidence in the project, stating, “I’m sincerely encouraged in terms of where things are at and who’s on board and who’s leading the way as far as the writing of the script and the directing and all that.”
