Phoebe Dynevor has recently discussed her challenges in landing acting gigs in an industry largely dominated by men, expressing frustration over the limited opportunities for actresses her age.
Speaking to the 'Evening Standard' in a recent interview, the 28-year-old star of Bridgerton shed light on her journey in securing roles, highlighting the disparity between the abundance of opportunities for older women and young men compared to the scarcity for young women like herself.

She remarked, “There is such a space for male actors… There are so many of them. And they’re all great. They’re all very talented young men. And they do not stop working. And good for them,” she said. “But you know, when I think about the girls my age… there’s way more room for [male actors] and there is still not enough room for us.”
Reflecting on her recent experiences with scripts, Dynevor admitted, “I have read some great scripts recently. I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but there are still, like, not that many parts going.”

Dynevor gained prominence with her breakout role in Netflix’s 'Bridgerto'n and received acclaim for her performance in the drama 'Fair Play,' which also earned her a BAFTA Rising Star nomination. In 'Fair Play,' she portrays a woman navigating sexual office politics and a jealous partner after receiving an unexpected promotion at a competitive hedge fund firm.
Dynevor shared, “It felt like my story, and it felt like every woman I know’s story. Whether it’s working in a very male-dominated environment or having a relationship with someone who’s threatened by you, all of those things that women deal with all the time.”
