Oprah Winfrey welcomed the new year surrounded by close friends at a vibrant New Year's Eve party.

The media icon, aged 69, celebrated the arrival of 2024 on Sunday night, joined by her longtime friend Gayle King and actor David Oyelowo, her co-star from ‘The Butler.’ Gayle, also 69, shared a post on Instagram featuring pictures from the festivities.

Gayle's Instagram post also included various photos and videos from the New Year's Eve celebration, featuring Oyelowo and other guests dancing to Burna Boy's ‘It's Plenty.’ The post concluded with a heartwarming picture of Gayle with her family, and in the caption, she expressed excitement for the new year, saying, "Family pictures! Dinner! Dancing! New year is off to a great start so here's to more in 20-24!!!"

Oprah Winfrey shared glimpses of the enjoyable gathering on her Instagram, posting a video featuring the group posing outdoors. Amid the festivities, Winfrey stood alongside her longtime partner, Stedman Graham.

Captioning her post with "Wishing everyone a happy and blessed 2024," Winfrey conveyed her New Year's wishes. Last December, David Oyelowo, Winfrey's co-star, expressed in an interview that she had become like a mother figure to him since they first acted together in 2013's ‘The Butler.’
