Nina Dobrev recently shared her journey of recovery following a serious biking accident that led to knee surgery. The ‘Vampire Diaries’ star discussed her experience during the June 12 episode of ‘The Talk’, marking her first public appearance in over two months.

The 35-year-old actress revealed that the injury occurred while dirt biking for the first time. "I don't recommend it, guys. It's okay, I learned a lesson, don't ever get on a dirt bike," Dobrev advised. She recounted the incident: "I was in a wheelie, lost control, whisky throttled, and the bike flew. Luckily, it didn't fall on me, which the doctor said would have been a lot worse. But when I landed, I landed on one leg, straight, and my knee just snapped."

Dobrev explained the extent of her injuries and the subsequent surgery. "I had knee surgery; I got a giant brace. I can't really walk on my own yet... I had a fractured knee as well as ACL repair and meniscus," she shared.

Despite the challenges, Dobrev was enthusiastic about getting out of the house and having "an excuse to get dolled up." She detailed her current routine, which includes physical therapy, watching movies, and spending quality time with her pets. "Cuddle puddle is my life these days. It's just the puppies, and at home watching movies, physical therapy, eating, sleeping, or peeing is kind of the schedule," she said.

The actress has been finding comfort and entertainment at home, including watching the show ‘Fargo’. "Fargo is what I'm watching currently. I called my agents. I love it, so I'm so obsessed with the show, and I was like, 'You have to get me on this show.' And they're like, 'That's from a decade ago, you're too late.'"

She also highlighted an Instagram video she posted earlier in June, featuring her boyfriend Shaun White dancing in a white ‘Vampire Diaries’ sweater. "You know, when you can't leave your bedroom, you either watch TV or you have live entertainment. That's my live entertainment," she quipped.

Despite the setback, Dobrev is optimistic about her recovery and is taking it one day at a time. Her openness about the accident and her humour in dealing with the aftermath has inspired many of her fans. "I'm just finding my rhythm in life again," she stated, highlighting her resilience and positive outlook.
