Miley Cyrus just scored her first Grammy and ‘Flowers’ is officially the Record of the Year!
During her acceptance speech, the 31-year-old singer expressed gratitude, sending love to everyone and giving a shoutout to those watching at home. She emphasized the award's significance but humorously reminded everyone that life was beautiful before the Grammy.
Miley thanked her team, mentioning names like Tom, Tyler, Michael and Greg. She expressed love for her family and her team, and playfully hinted at forgetting underwear as she wrapped up her speech, notably omitting a mention of her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

‘Flowers’ triumphed over other nominees like Billie Eilish's ‘What Was I Made For?’ and Taylor Swift's ‘Anti-Hero’ to claim the prestigious award. Eilish's gentle ballad from the ‘Barbie’ movie, reflecting on identity, was also highlighted, having won best song earlier in the night and being nominated in multiple categories.
Miley's winning song has been on a winning streak, having previously secured the best original song at the 2024 Golden Globes and being a contender at the upcoming 2024 Academy Awards. Quite the journey for ‘Flowers’!
