During her stint on the show, she performed ‘All That Jazz’ from Chicago, ‘There Are Worse Things I Could Do’ from Grease, and a mash-up of ‘Americano’ and ‘Dance Again’ by Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. When Hudson released the music video for ‘Live Forever’, her mother, Goldie Hawn, shared an emotional message on Instagram, praising her daughter's talent.
"My daughter's talent has transcended just being a proud mother to pure awe," she wrote, highlighting the emotional impact Hudson's music has had on her family. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was renewed for a second season.
Russell remarked, "I think those songs are really good, really well done. It's fun to see her just do it and have a fun time with it." Glorious, released recently, is Hudson's first studio album. However, she previously showcased her singing talent on the musical comedy series Glee, where she starred as a dance teacher in the fourth season.
Morgan Wandell, head of international development for Apple TV+, expressed excitement about the show's future, stating, "We couldn’t be more excited for viewers to not only have the chance to experience even more thrills in season two but to embark on epic, new journeys in the franchise as we expand Legendary’s Monsterverse."
