Kim Kardashian is getting ready to unfold the tale of Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor. In a press release, BBC Arts spilled the beans that it has greenlit a three-part docuseries about Taylor and the production reins are in the capable hands of Passion Pictures.
In the pipeline is a series tentatively named 'Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar,' where Kardashian takes on the role of executive producer alongside Kari Lia and Hamish Fergusson.
"Elizabeth Taylor was unabashedly herself, a true warrior," quipped Kardashian in a statement. "She is evidence that one can keep evolving, changing and experiencing different chapters in life – she laid the groundwork for all of us who followed with that blueprint."

The series promises exclusive access to those who were close to Taylor, including family members, friends and colleagues spanning her illustrious career.
The narrative will traverse Taylor's transformative odyssey from a child star to the "highest-paid actress in the world." It aims to inject a fresh perspective into her story through "never-before-heard audio tapes, interviews and unseen TV footage."

Kardashian's involvement in the series is noteworthy because she conducted Taylor's final interview before her demise due to congestive heart failure at the age of 79 on 23rd March 2011.
Taylor, who made her silver screen debut at the tender age of 9 in the comedy 'There's One Born Every Minute' in 1942, earned five Academy Award nominations for 'Best Actress' during her lengthy career. She clinched the coveted trophy twice – in 1961 for her role in the drama 'Butterfield 8' and again in 1967 for her work in 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'

Yet, her personal life was a constant fixture in tabloids, marked by eight marriages to seven different men and struggles with addiction.
BBC Arts, in its declaration about the upcoming series, pledged that 'Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar' will bestow upon the actress the recognition she deserves in all her facets: as an actor, rebel, business mogul and activist. Hamish Fergusson expressed immense excitement, dubbing Taylor a "unique talent and true luminary."
