Jodie Foster revealed she was initially in the running for the role of Princess Leia in Star Wars. However, fate had other plans, and she had to give it a miss due to a clash in her schedule with the OG Freaky Friday.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, the double Oscar actress shared, “I was [offered the role], but I had a conflict. I was doing a Disney movie, and I just didn’t want to pull out of the Disney movie because I was already under contract, so I didn’t do it. And, you know, they did an amazing job. I don’t know how good I would have been!”

She humourously mused about the "what ifs," imagining herself with different hair, perhaps opting for a pineapple-inspired look. The cosmic ballet of showbiz, eh?

This isn't the first time Foster's spilled some Hollywood tea on a chat show. In a previous episode, she reminisced about her time on the set of 'Taxi Driver,' sharing that both Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese were a bit jittery around her. Playing a young character in a gritty 1976 film, she recalled, “I was 12. And they had to say things like, you know, 'Can you pull his fly down?' And it was a little awkward.”

Foster, with her precocious film experience, had Scorsese and De Niro somewhat on edge. “Yeah, they were a little scared, Scorsese especially, who kept giggling every time he talked to me. He’d start giggling, and De Niro had to take over,” she quipped.
When asked if her dynamic with Scorsese had changed over time, she deadpanned, “Scorsese giggles with everybody.”
