Jennifer Lopez, typically not a big fan of vacations, has had a change of heart after spending the past few summers in Italy. In a recent interview with Travel + Leisure, the 54-year-old singer expressed her newfound love for the south of Italy, stating, "When I finally went to spend a couple of summers in a row in the south of Italy, I really, really loved it."
Despite her life being dominated by work, Lopez admitted that her Italian getaways have shifted her perspective, jokingly saying, "Oh my God, is this what I’ve been missing my whole life."
The allure of Italy for the ‘On the Floor’ singer lies in her appreciation for the ocean. Lopez emphasized her love for being on the water, finding it calming and enjoying the ability to sit still and gaze at the ocean and sky. She described the beauty of being on the coast, dining outdoors, and relishing the fresh air as the reasons that keep drawing her back to the European region.
Lopez also highlighted that her job, which primarily keeps her indoors in studios and sets, makes being outdoors a luxury for her. "I think it’s because I’m always inside at the studios and sets, recording sessions inside, that being outside is like a luxury for me," she shared with Travel + Leisure.
Jennifer Lopez also revealed the special moments of taking her 15-year-old twins, Maximilian "Max" David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz, on international trips, emphasizing the significance of these experiences for her children.
She recounted a trip to Singapore during her ‘Dance Again World Tour’ in 2012 when the twins were just four years old. Lopez shared that after the trip, her children expressed their desire to return the following year, a sentiment she found particularly meaningful given her upbringing in the Bronx, where such experiences were not commonplace.
The twins, whom Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, have been part of her travels to Italy, along with her current husband, Ben Affleck. The couple explored various locations in the country during their honeymoon in August 2022, captured in photos as they strolled through the streets of Milan and Como.
Lopez and Affleck exchanged wedding vows in July 2022 in Las Vegas and later celebrated their nuptials on August 20, 2023, at their home in Riceboro, Georgia. The couple's relationship has evolved over the years, with their first dating stint in July 2002, a split in 2004, and a rekindling of their romance close to two decades later in 2021.
Lopez expressed gratitude for the timing of their renewed relationship, stating, "It's a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other.
