Renowned for his stellar performances in hit TV shows like 'Sherlock' and 'Fleabag,' Andrew Scott, along with his 'All of Us Strangers' co-star Claire Foy, recently made waves on Josh Horowitz's podcast, 'Happy Sad Confused.'

In this conversation, Scott dropped a bombshell about a rather memorable incident during his portrayal of Hamlet in a production by Almeida Theater.

Sharing a slice of theatrical drama, Scott revealed an unexpected interruption during Hamlet's iconic soliloquy. In 2017, a seemingly oblivious audience member committed the ultimate faux pas by opening a laptop amid Scott's intense performance.

Expressing his disdain, Scott halted mid-sentence, fixing a stern gaze upon the laptop-wielding culprit, who, to the actor's disbelief, was busy answering emails rather than immersing in the profound moment.

In the podcast, Scott vividly recounted the defiance he displayed, refusing to continue his soliloquy despite the cues from the backstage team. The unruly audience member only ceased his disruptive behaviour when nudged by a more considerate companion. Unfortunately, this incident sheds light on a growing trend of disruptive theatregoers diminishing the collective experience for everyone.

While Andrew Scott is celebrated for his iconic roles as Jim Moriarty in 'Sherlock' and the 'Hot Priest' in 'Fleabag,' he took to the podcast to discuss his latest film, 'All of Us Strangers.' Released in the USA on 23rd December 2023, the film features a star-studded cast including Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell.

Additionally, Scott is delving into the role of Tom Ripley in the upcoming psychological thriller TV series 'Ripley,' based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 novel, 'The Talented Mr. Ripley.'
