Chris Pratt recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Sony's new animated film, 'The Garfield Movie,' where he voices the iconic lasagna-loving cat, Garfield. His wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, was accompanying him on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Pratt expressed his desire to work alongside his wife in a film. "I've asked her," he shared when questioned about the possibility of collaborating on a project. "I think she could be great because she's actually a very good actress."

Pratt went on to describe Schwarzenegger's talent for impressions, noting, "When she's doing impressions, I'm like, 'You're really good.' And she's like, 'No way. I could never do it. I would laugh too much.'" He humorously added that her tendency to laugh uncontrollably might indeed disrupt takes. "She'd probably laugh through the take and ruin it," he admitted.

The couple, who married in 2019, have two young daughters: Lyla Maria, 3, and Eloise Christina, who turns 2 on May 21. Pratt also has an 11-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage to Anna Faris.

Pratt shared his excitement about 'The Garfield Movie,' particularly because it is a family-friendly film that all his children can enjoy. "A movie like Garfield is truly safe for all ages, and my daughters are both very young. My son's 11, so he's seen a lot of the things that I'm in, but my girls have never seen anything I've been in, so this will probably be the first thing that they see," he said.

Joining Pratt at the premiere were his co-stars Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, Snoop Dogg, and Calum Scott. The movie’s synopsis reveals a comedic and heartwarming plot: "After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father — scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) — Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist."

Pratt's role in 'The Garfield Movie' follows his successful voice performance as Mario in 2023's 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie,' which grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Given the success of the 'Mario' film, Nintendo and Illumination announced plans for a sequel set for release in 2026.
