The much awaited trailer for ‘The Brutalist’, one of the year's most talked-about movies and an overwhelming favorite for an award, was released just now and gives an idea of why the picture is creating such a lot of excitement.
The picture, which is scheduled to open in a few U.S. cinemas in December, has already generated buzz following filmmaker Brady Corbet's victory at this year's Venice picture Festival for Best filmmaker, which earned him the coveted Silver Lion.
The Brutalist, which is set in the post-World War II era and stars Adrien Brody, , Joe Alwyn, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Alessandro Nivola, centresand Stacy Martin, centers on László Toth (Brody), a Hungarian architect who comes to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. But while he manages the intricacies of his personal and professional lives, he faces many obstacles.

While covering László's work in the austere, concrete "Brutalism" architectural style, the film also explores the social and political conflicts of the time, spanning several decades. The three-hour, thirty-five-minute film has received no criticism from critics.
With 65 reviews, mostly from festival screenings, ‘The Brutalist’ has garnered excellent reviews and presently has a 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. It was rated as "one of the most remarkable films of the year" by Collider's Ross Bonaime, one of the first critics, in his 8/10 assessment. He commended the film's remarkable cinematography by Lol Crawley, Brody, Pearce, and Jones's strong performances, and Corbet's singular vision.
