Stormzy has announced the release of his third studio
album this year. Last night in Cardiff, the Croydon MC made the announcement
during the first gig of his 2022 UK and Ireland arena tour (March 13). The
audience was treated to a video of Stormzy recording his future album in the
studio at one point in the show.
The following message was presented onscreen at the conclusion of the footage: “Album 3. Coming 2022.” The video is embedded in the tweet below.
Per a press release, pre-orders for the album are
“obtainable first for those attending the UK leg of Stormzy’s ‘Heavy Is The
Head’ tour; a personal gesture of gratitude to his loyal and supportive fans
who have waited almost two years for the UK shows.”
At the venues, fans can pre-order the CD version of
the album at official merch stands. Those that do so will be given a QR coded
lanyard as well as the opportunity to purchase a limited edition t-shirt.
'Heavy Is The Head,' Stormzy's second full-length
album, was released in December 2019. His current 'H.I.T.H World Tour' kicks
out tomorrow night (March 15) in Newcastle, with stops in Leeds (16), Sheffield
(18), Manchester (19), and other cities throughout the month and into April.
