Shawn Mendes is all set for another “Summer of Love” with his new single. While celebrating his 23rd birthday on August 8th, the Canadian singer-songwriter revealed that the track would be released on the 20th of August and that it features Puerto Rican artist Tainy.
Earlier this month, he had subtly revealed the song title on his sweatshirt while he strummed a few guitar chords in a Twitter video captioned “sol,” which translates to “sun” in Spanish.
The young Canadian pop icon later previewed the bouncy single in a video of him driving around in a convertible in Mallorca at sunset against a stunning background of lush mountains.
Tainy also shared a sneak peek of "Summer of Love" by showing off the digital audio workstation from his laptop that played a 16-second snippet of the beats.
Shawn has so far notched up 11 Top 40 hits on the UK's Official Singles Chart, including Number ones Stitches and Senorita. On the albums chart, 2016's Illuminate and 2018's self-titled both peaked at Number 3.
