Since 2021's ‘Bet It,’ which was taken from the soundtrack for the OTT drama 'Bruised', ‘Hot S***’ was Cardi's first solo single. Since then, the rapper has been a part of a number of projects, such as Lizzo's ‘Rumours,’ Summer Walker and SZA's ‘No Love’ and ‘Wild Side,’ which features Normani.
The 1990 song ‘Electric Boogy’ by Marcia Griffiths is sampled in the song ‘Hot S***,’ which will be included on Cardi's upcoming sophomore album along with other singles including ‘WAP’ and ‘Up.’ Cardi's 2018 debut, ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ which won her a Grammy for Best Rap Album, is yet to have a title or official release date.
The rapper also recently shared a video of herself with an autographed vinyl record of Beyoncé's album ‘Renaissance’ and a handwritten note of gratitude from the pop singer.
