Nicole Kidman is ready to take some risks in the gripping first trailer for ‘Babygirl’.
A24 unveiled the highly anticipated teaser for this erotic thriller, directed by Halina Reijn, known for her work on ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies’. The film made its debut at the Venice International Film Festival back in August.
In ‘Babygirl’, the 57-year-old actress portrays a powerful CEO whose career and family life spiral into chaos when she embarks on a passionate affair with her much younger intern, played by 28-year-old Harris Dickinson. The cast also features Sophie Wilde from ‘Talk to Me’ and the ever-charismatic Antonio Banderas as Kidman’s on-screen husband.

Recently seen in Netflix's ‘A Family Affair’ and ‘The Perfect Couple’, Kidman has expressed her enthusiasm for collaborating with female directors who are making a significant impact in the industry. "Lulu Wang from ‘Expats’ is one of them, and I was all in.
Working with women like Mimi Cave and Halina Reijn on ‘Babygirl’, as well as Susanne Bier and Karyn Kusama, has been incredible," she shared in April. "These women are either in their prime or just starting to shine, and I love being part of their vision and supporting them."
During a press conference in Venice, Kidman emphasized that she never felt exploited while filming the intimate scenes for ‘Babygirl’. "The experience was compelling because I was under the guidance of Halina, who I knew would treat the material with respect," Kidman explained to reporters in August. "I didn’t feel exploited at all; I felt deeply engaged in the story we were telling. I was fully committed to it."

She also praised the cast and crew for their supportive environment, stating, "There was so much care among us. We were all very gentle with each other and looked out for one another."
Harris Dickinson, who recently appeared in ‘The Iron Claw’, is also set to star in the upcoming historical drama ‘Blitz’, which is slated for release later this year.
‘Babygirl’ is set to hit theatres on 25th December.
