Nicki Minaj has revealed the release date for the final deluxe edition of her 2023 album Pink Friday 2. The rapper took to Instagram to announce that Pink Friday 2 – The Hiatus will be available on December 13, almost a year after the original album's release. This version follows the earlier releases of Pink Friday 2 (Gag City Deluxe) in 2023 and Pink Friday 2 (Gag City PLUTO Edition) in 2024.

The announcement of Pink Friday 2 – The Hiatus comes after Minaj disclosed that her plans for a deluxe edition of Pink Friday 2 were scrapped in favour of focusing on her new album, Pink Friday 3.

She shared on social media that instead of a deluxe edition, she opted to create a completely new album. Minaj mentioned that songs like #Mamita and the "anxiety" track would still be included during the rest of her tour, and promised to reveal the new album's release date in the coming weeks.

Additionally, she confirmed that she has recently recorded new material, explaining that the tracks were too important to be part of a deluxe edition. She described the songs as "too iconic" to go unused and assured her fans that she would release something before making the official album announcement.

In a previous update, Minaj shared her excitement about receiving a verse for the extended edition of Pink Friday 2 and previewed the track ‘Anxiety’ during an Instagram Live session.

Last month, Minaj addressed rumours that she would be taking a break, firmly stating that she wasn’t going anywhere.
