Next month, Lil Nas X will be honoured at the 2022 Songwriters Hall of Fame event.
The rapper and pop musician will receive the Hal David Starlight Award on 16th June at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, which is given to talented young songwriters who are making a significant influence in the music industry with their original songs.
Drake, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Halsey, John Legend and others have all previously received the prize.
Lil Nas X stated last month that he’ll be hitting the road, with European tour dates planned for the end of the year.
His ‘Long Live Montero’ tour will take off in North America on 6th September at The Fillmore in Detroit, with stops in Chicago, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more before ending off on 23rd October at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
The ‘Industry Baby’ singer will then embark on a European tour, which will begin on 8th November in Amsterdam and end on 17th November in Barcelona, Spain.
