Kevin Costner recently shared a heartfelt piece of advice about life with his fans. During the One805Live! charity concert at his home in Carpinteria, California the 69-year-old ‘Yellowstone’ star and his band, Modern West, performed a special song with a powerful message.
Before singing “I Can’t Do This Without You,” Costner spoke to the audience about the importance of relationships and how easy it is to forget to express appreciation. "The person next to you — your partner, your wife, your significant other — they help you through everything," Costner said. "But sometimes we forget to say that one simple thing: 'You’re important.'"

He emphasized how such a small gesture can have a huge impact, encouraging the crowd to remind their loved ones how much they matter. "What’s so hard about saying, 'You’re important, you’ve been important for a long time'?" Costner asked. "Sometimes it’s the littlest things that make the biggest difference."
The star-studded charity event featured performances by Pink, Kenny Loggins, and Richard Marx, with attendees like Prince Harry, Cameron Diaz, and Jeff Bridges. Proceeds went toward supporting local fire, police, and sheriff departments by funding equipment and mental health resources.

Costner also recently reflected on the life lessons he’s shared with his 17-year-old son, Cayden. In an interview with ‘Hollywood Authentic’, he spoke about working on ‘Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2’ with his son and how it showed Cayden the value of perseverance. Costner, a father of seven, explained, "He saw me hold on to a dream and push through to make it a reality."
