On Saturday Night Live's latest broadcast, Charli XCX performed as both host and musical guest, showcasing her comedic abilities. The 32-year-old singer took part in a number of sketches during the evening, including a humorous reenactment of the widely shared ‘Domingo’ sketch that Ariana Grande first did in October while hosting Saturday Night Live.

In the original ‘Bridesmaid Speech’ sketch, Grande portrayed a bridesmaid who was singing off-key to ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter because she was having trouble hitting her notes. Together with Sarah Sherman, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodim, they sang a funny song about their bachelorette celebration. In Charli XCX's rendition, ‘Babymoon,’ the sketch was modified to include Chloe Fineman as a pregnant bride attending her baby shower.

A somewhat off-key rendition of Chappell Roan's ‘Hot To Go,’ performed by Charli, Gardner, Nwodim, and Sherman, humorously suggested that Domingo, a figure also mentioned in Grande's original skit, might have been the father of the bride's child.

The song ‘360,’ which Charli XCX sang during her musical performances, featured a special appearance by Julia Fox, whose name was humorously inserted into the lyrics. ‘Sympathy is a Knife,’ a song from Charli's Brat album that she remixed with Ariana Grande, was also performed.

Charli also made an appearance in a number of other sketches, such as one in which she played Victoria Beckham in an ‘It Girl Thanksgiving Special’ and another in which she mimicked Adele in a parody titled ‘Wicked Auditions.’ After appearances in 2014 and 2022, this was Charli XCX's third appearance as an SNL musical guest.

In addition to releasing a remix of her Brat album with Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Lorde, Charli recently concluded her Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan.
