The release of Burna Boy's new album, 'Love, Damini,' has
been announced. On 28th April, the 'On The Low' singer became the first
Nigerian musician to headline a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Burna Boy announced his new album, 'Love, Damini,' during
the event, which, according to a press release, "is set to release for his
31st birthday," which is 2nd July.

However, according to Pitchfork, the artist's agents have
stated that his sixth album does not yet have a set release date.

NME's Nicolas-Tyrell Scott wrote in a three-star review of
Burna Boy's 'Twice As Tall’, that while it'll always be difficult to surpass
his magnum opus 'African Giant' and fan favourite 'Outside,' the star's current
album is a gratifying sequel.

It's great to see him maintain his mother tongue while balancing his unique style, with signs of experimentation in collaborations like 'Monsters You Made.' Burna Boy won the title of ‘Best Solo Act In The World’ at the BandLab NME Awards 2022 in March.

Arlo Parks, Billie Eilish, Dave, Little Simz, Pyra, Rina
Sawayama, Sam Fender, Tkay Maidza, and The Weeknd were among the artists
nominated for the award.

Burna Boy was presented with the prize by Aitch and Big Zuu,
who accepted it virtually. In his video acceptance speech, he
remarked that it was his first NME Award. He apologized for being
unable to attend the event.
