AURORA Performs a Mystical Version of Harry Styles’ Song ‘Golden’

AURORA performed a version of Harry Styles’ track ‘Golden’ during a recent radio visit. For the 24th April broadcast of BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions, the Norwegian singer-songwriter recorded a stripped-down version of Styles’ 2019 hit ‘Fine Line’.

She also gave a new low-key performance of ‘A Temporary High,’ from her third studio album ‘The Gods We Can Touch.’ The session has AURORA singing while playing the piano in the studio, accompanied by an acoustic guitar player.

AURORA released a new song called “The Woman I Am” from a special deluxe edition of her latest album earlier this month. “It’s an ode to feminine divinity,” she said of the song.

The artist went on to say that it’s not always easy for a woman to find her place in this man dominated world. You need to find yourself and realize that you are a source of life, power, craft, thought and love. Not just a vessel.

‘The Gods We Can Touch’, which was released in January was given a four-star review by NME who stated that the album is rich with AURORA’s distinctive idiosyncrasies and intriguing thoughts, yet it’s never simply a slave to whimsy. It’s time to surrender to AURORA.

Meanwhile, on 22nd April, Harry Styles performed a second headline set at Coachella 2022, this time with special guest Lizzo. The duo performed covers of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” and Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” a disco hit.

It’s evident that he’s no longer aiming for the rock star lane, but is firmly carving his own way through it –NME noted in a review of Styles’ weekend one gig.
