World Radio Community Is Solid and Here is Proof

If you have been wondering how radio programming and the general sustenance of audio business around the world is going on right now, you are not alone. Benztown, a world leader in radio imaging, voiceover, programming and jingles recently joined hands with P1 Media Group to become a source of solutions.

After launching a Facebook page which provides support to radio stations world over, Andreas Sannemann, the CEO of Benztown, said: “Today, the radio industry is here for people in communities around the world, just as it has been through good and bad times over the years. We are glad to be able to bring together radio professionals across the globe through this new Facebook page and meeting place. We are hoping that it will serve as an inspirational space for radio stations to connect around the Coronavirus by sharing their creative concepts, sparking new ideas in the process that will ultimately help people.”

In very appropriate style, the Facebook support group is called Coronavirus Radio Ideas. Ken Benson, who is the Partner at P1 Media added to the statement: “We can do so much more together than separately. This terrible pandemic is presenting an opportunity for radio to educate, inform and even entertain listeners like never before. We hope this Facebook Group will empower the international radio community to come together and exchange their ideas and experiences as we work to serve our communities.”

The buzz has started and 183 European radio stations have already gotten involved to create videos and other uplifting content to get the spirit round the world high up in the industry.

Oprah Helps Alicia Launch Her Autobiography

Alicia Keys took to her social media to share the news that her debut memoir will arrive on November 5th -‘More Myself,Keys’, an autobiography. But guess how she did it? Through Oprah Winfrey’s recently launched Oprah Book Imprint. ‘More Myself’ will be the first release on Winfrey’s new book imprint!

“I could feel the power of Alicia’s presence even before she belted out the first soulful notes of the lyrics that made her famous—’I keep on fallin’ in and out of love with you, has navigated the spotlight and pressures of fame while retaining a humble and beautiful spirit. I am honored she chose to share her personal story through my imprint.”,Winfrey gushed about the singer.

Alicia showed her appreciation for the gesture by tweeting right back,”I can NOT believe this is happening!! I am literally in disbelief!! My sister, mentor, guide and the QUEEN herself Ms. Oprah helped me share my journey with you! And it’s finally here! I could not be more grateful for her endless support and light and love throughout my life she has been one of the main people that has given me some of the most powerful diamond‘s that I live by. I am full of gratitude!! Thank you, Ms. O for the opportunity to share my truth as the first release of your new book imprint. Our journeys are beautifully woven together and our messages are similar: Now, more than ever, it’s time to continue to honor ourselves by walking more unrelentingly in our authenticity, no matter what! This is one of my greatest lessons and one I hope becomes easier for all of us. So thank you sis for challenging me to become MORE MYSELF in this beautiful journey. I’m beyond elated to share the process?’

Alicia’s book follows her collection of poetry and lyrics in 2014’s ‘Tears for Water’. And we just love watching these two powerful women coming together to lift each other up and enjoy each other’s success!

While the celebs try to keep us busy with Home Fests and other forms of distractions like home video of songs released in 2018 and remix versions of all that they managed to record before having to shut shops, nothing will ever come close to the real entertainment value that comes in with watching them fall apart at the seams — just like the rest of us.

Like Madonna recently said, COVID-19 is a great equalizer. It doesn’t care how rich, smart, funny, or famous you are — if it’s coming for you, it’s coming for you. Though she got a lot of flak for it, it rings true. Just like the rest of us are very capable of scheduling failure and prime time awkwardness, so is Mother Monster, apparently. And all it took was the great equalizer to show us that!

Having withdrawn from releasing her latest album ‘Chromatica’, she was about to take on another project that was supposedly going to be announced on Jimmy Fallon’s show. “Lady Gaga has a big announcement,” Fallon had promised. But when the segment launched into a Face Time call with Gaga, we saw her flustered: “I can’t, Jimmy. I can’t talk right now. I’m really sorry. It’s just, like, a really weird time right know. Hello? Jimmy? I can’t see you? Am I on TV?”

We saw Jimmy trying to hold it all together and trying to reschedule to 10 minutes from then to which she replied, “Can you call me on, um, can you call me Friday?” And Fallon repeated, “Can I call you on Friday? It’s uh, yeah. It’s Wednesday.”

Towards the end Gaga wanted to add in quite frantically that the announcement was “for COVID-19”. She went on to say, “I can’t, I can’t, I can’t tell you everything right now because I’m still ironing out the details and I have a lot of phone calls to make.”

After a lot of awkwardness, Fallon finally cut the call and all of us collectively stopped cringing. There are times when celebs appear on television in designer sweats and hair that five people worked on to make it look out-of-bed to tell us anecdotes of how they are really just regular people. We try our best to believe it. But there is no greater proof that it is indeed truer than this. And after you’ve seen someone like this, it makes you wonder — what’s all the fuss about? Can we just stop the pretense and have a conversation unscripted?
