TWICE Sets Historic Record for Album Sales; Find out More

TWICE More & Morer

K-Pop girl group, TWICE, have set a historic record with their album “More & More” on the Gaon music chart – one of Korea’s leading music charts.

TWICE achieved icon status earlier today when it was announced that they had sold 563,000 copies of their latest mini album. These numbers have made them the highest selling Korean girl group on the Gaon chart, ever since the chart’s establishment in 2010.

The latest release from the 9-member girl group was one of their most anticipated comebacks. Featuring contributions from some of the biggest producers in Western pop music, Zara Larsson, Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, their title track, “More & More” debuted at No. 1 on all local Korean music charts upon release.

The group’s achievements don’t just stop there. TWICE currently holds the record for the most domestic wins on music shows by any girl group, standing at 106 wins. The album also allowed TWICE to break the record for the most first-week sales made by any Korean girl group.

TWICE, who debuted in 2015 have seen massive success in the K-Pop world, becoming one of the most recognised faces in the industry.

“More & More” saw them shedding their good girl act, exploring different sounds from their previous work. Taking a sharp turn away from bubblegum pop, this album features bold lyrics, hard hitting raps and cheeky vocals from the 9 members.

It would seem that TWICE is just getting started.
