Tory Lanez Ordered to Stay Away from Megan Thee Stallion

Tory Lanez faces a maximum of 22 years and 8 months in prison

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’ court proceedings with regards to the July 12th shooting case commenced, recently. Stallion pressed charges against the rapper, who shot her multiple times in the foot after a verbal altercation between the two. Further, Stallion publicly stated that Tory Lanez was solely responsible for the incident, furthering that his denial regarding the issue is completely false. 

Lanez attended the first hearing via telephone. The court proceeding first took place four days after the charges of assault were filed. Further, Lanez was ordered not to contact Megan. In addition, his bail posting stands at $190,000. Lanez’ charges officially include “assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.” 

Depending on how the court proceeding plays out, Lanez faces a maximum prison sentence of 22 years and eight months. Further, reports state that Tory responded to a series of questions from the judge and did not enter a plea. And, his arraignment will take place on the 18th of November. 

Speaking up about the incident after her recovery, Stallion publicly named Tory Lanez as the perpetrator. She said, “Yes, Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.”
