The BTS Carpool Karaoke Story

The wait is finally over, because James Cordon’s just treated us with the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke, featuring none other than BTS! After their run with Jimmy Fallon, the next stop had to be, squeezing into Cordon’s car, singing their hearts out and finishing a wild round of questions!

The episode began in his signature style, with James asking V to help him find his way, before, soon enough, all 7 boys hopped in. They jammed to a string of killer tunes, and on that list was ‘Mic Drop’ (Old but gold), ‘ON’ and ‘Black Swan’ from their latest album. What also made it to the list was ‘Finesse’ by Bruno Mars , ‘Circles’ by Post Malone and the ‘Friends’ theme song.

So, before we ramble on and on, here’s a rundown of some of the craziest moments in this episode!

1. RM confessed that he picked up English from watching an endless string of ‘Friends’ episodes. J-Hope definitely took the cake, though, when he interrupted to admit that he didn’t understand the conversation but insisted the band should simply continue laughing.

2. James asked the boys about their nicknames, and Jin, as expected, pointed out that he’s called ‘WWH’ which stands for Worldwide handsome, which funnily enough, also happens to be something Corden was called in school.

3. As the band has been together for a good decade, they disclosed that while arguments don’t occur as often anymore, Jimin and RM still have fights over…wait for it…dumplings. Well, who doesn’t fight over food?

4.J-Hope put out the question of the hour when he asked James what would happen if there were 8 people in the band. Well, for starters, they’d need a much bigger car. But James obviously took this opportunity to try his luck by asking them if they indirectly meant for him to join the band. Cue awkward laughter.

5, But talking about their performances, let’s not forget that dancing is also their forte. The highlight of this episode was when they popped into Cordon’s exercise class to teach a bunch of fans choreography of their smash hit, ‘ON’ and as expected, Jimin took the lead during this one.
