The 1975 Are A Tad Bit Shy!

The 1975 has been quite active in the music scene lately, and as expected, they’ve proved that this quarantine period isn’t going to stop them from treating us with new music, especially when they’ve got their latest album, right around the corner, ready to drop.

‘Notes on a Conditional Form’, their fourth album, is going to feature the band’s new single titled,  “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know).”

Interestingly enough, while this song incorporates the ambient sounds mirrored in a lot of the band’s previous numbers, it’s also a step away from what they’ve done before. This guitar-driven track is light and peppy, much like the lyrics, as frontman Matt Healy sings,

She said, “Maybe I would like you better if you took off your clothes

I wanna see and stop thinking

If you’re too shy then let me, too shy then let me know”

Well, the lines aren’t particularly romantic but charming, nonetheless.

“If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” follows their previously released single, “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America”. The track was also accompanied by a simple black and white music video of the band performing. And yes, if you were wondering, Healy’s hair is on point.

Their full album will be released on May 22nd, but until then, they’ve given us more than enough to keep us busy over the next few weeks!
