Victoria Beckham recently appeared on the podcast Breaking Beauty where she shared quite a surprising memory from her Spice days.

She recollects the time that she once met Beyonce and the star had told her that “It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do and made me proud to be a girl. I’m proud to be who I am,”

She continues, “And when someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, I think that that’s quite something.”

The Spice Girls were one of the most popular girl groups in the 90s.

A Pop Singer, A Fashion Designer And A Super Mom

Beckham, now 47, had left the British girl group in 2001 and spent the coming years building an empire with her successful luxury fashion brand-Victoria Beckham. She is also the mother of 5 beautiful children with her husband, David Beckham.

The other Spice Girls in the pop group are Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell. The members had reunited in 2019 for their UK Tour but VB had declined to join as she wanted to focus on her family and fashion line. Did the Spice Girl feel upset about being left out from such a mega tour? Looks like she did as Mel B had shared in an interview,  “That first night, when the pictures were beamed all over the world, it was hard for her, and we’re hoping it was hard enough to bring her back … I have to say, I feel like she’s coming around. So we’ll keep working on her.”

Another Tour On The Cards?

There are rumors of another Spice Girl reunion as the group is reportedly working on a sequel for their 1997 film, Spice World. It is yet to be confirmed whether Beckham will also be a part of it. But let’s hope that she does join in this time! Fingers crossed.
