“SpaceX” Astronauts Jam to AC/DC And Black Sabbath

2020 has been a strange year, giving us a whole lot of good to go with the bad. And of the many good things that have happened, SpaceX launched two astronauts into orbit for the first time, ranking really high on the cool factor.

Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, the lead astronauts on the SpaceX mission, made history on May 31st. And as if travelling to space isn’t cool enough, it turns out that Behnken and Hurley blasted AC/DC and Black Sabbath on their mission.

Taking space jams to a whole new level, the two astronauts of SpaceX reportedly listened to AC/DC to prepare for the launch. Rock band Black Sabbath made its entry at the docking stage, serving as a wake up call for the pair right before they were set to dock. A Black Sabbath alarm might seem a little much, but new territory calls for new rules.

Befitting the mission, the SpaceX astronauts chose the Black Sabbath track “Planet Caravan”, and had AC/DC make an appearance with the classic track “Back in Black”

Elon Musk’s SpaceX and NASA collaborated on the launch, delivering a mission for the first time since 2011 in the US. After having to postpone the launch due to bad weather, the mission was carried out successfully on May 30th-31st and proved to be a ray of positivity amid these uncertain times.
