Snoop Dogg Solidifies Legacy With Foray In Latin Music

Que Maldición

A little step for Snoop Dogg, a huge leap for Latin music. The man who has been busy having beef with 6ix9ine and asking people to be above supporting a “rat”, is walking the talk and creating new and experimental music.

Snoop Dogg collaborated with the Banda music legend Banda MS de Sergio Lizárrga on a track called ‘Que Maldición‘.

Here’s the kicker, it is currently trending at No. 4 on Hot Latin Songs chart. Banda music uses brass and wind instrument, and this new track is refreshingly unlike usual Snoop Dogg. Additionally, the collaborator Banda MS must be ecstatic since it is the highest-charting song from regional Mexico since 2015.

“I’ve always been a fan of banda music, and the collab just felt right with Banda MS,” Snoop Dogg said speaking to Billboard. “I’ve been feeling all the love and positive feedback from around the world. More than ever, the world needs some fun and joy, which this song brings to everyone.”

Alan Ramirez who is the band’s vocalist, said, “It was an organic collaboration. It all started when we received a few videos by Snoop singing our songs.” Imagine that! receiving just a random file of Snoop Dogg serenading to your songs!

“We then realized he liked our music! We first recorded ‘Que Maldición’ in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and then sent our part to Snoop for his blessing. He loved it and returned the song with his built-in magic,” continued Alan.
