Slowthai and A$AP Rocky Collaborate For ‘MAZZA’

The ‘Thoughts’ hitmaker slowthai has collaborated with A$AP Rocky for a new and exciting track. Fans have waited with bated breath for the UK rapper’s upcoming album “TYRON”. Pretty exciting, right?

It Is Sure To Leave You Grooving

Slowthai shared his new song called ‘MAZZA’ produced with his frequent collaborator SAMO, with his fans today. The track is peppy and laced heavily with bass that the Northampton singer kicks off with as lively an approach.

With lyrics like. “Gin and tonic/I’m a bigger topic/Bigger pocket/Can’t close my wallet,” while the latter crows, “Light a flame toss a Molotov/Drop it off then I Mazel Tov/Pop a whole god dang champagne bottle cork/Still might find me in a mosh pit.”, New York’s A$AP jumps right in with an equally bouncy verse and the track flows!

Everything You Need To Know About “TYRON”

‘MAZZA’ is a part of slowthai’s sophomore album “TYRON” that is thematically divided into two discs. The track follows the recently released tracks ‘nhs’ and ‘feel away’ both of which are part of the album’s second and softer half.

The tracks featured James Blake and Mount Kimbie. The UK rapper is back after his 2019 album, “Nothing Great About Britain”. After much contemplation, “TYRON” is set for release on the 5th of February.

A$AP Rocky is fresh off of his latest fashion venture – AWGE has made quite an impact in the track with slowthai. Talking about the album, the latter took to social media to explain the journey of the 14-track project.

In a tweet, he shared with his fans, shortly before the release of ‘MAZZA’, slowthai shared the contemplation he and his team did about a possible pushing back of “TYRON” owing to the ongoing pandemic. The team, however, stuck to the plan with hopes of the tracks helping listeners as a “distraction amongst the chaos.”

“I hope this album can be the light if you’re in the dark, and to know you’re not alone. It’s okay to be yourself, fuck everything else. Learn, grow, aim to be better than you were yesterday.”, slowthai posted.

The rapper has more to be excited about, as he is also up for his first-ever Grammy Award this year after being nominated under the Best Dance Recording. His work in “My High”, a project in collaboration with Disclosure that also features Amine, has yielded him the nomination.

Listen to the track below while we wait for the official video slated for release later this week.
