Sia Wins ‘Worst Director’ At Razzies

Sia is definitely one of the most popular and talented singers we have out there today. But the 45-year old Australian singer probably doesn’t seem to show the same flair when it comes to movies.

Her directorial debut ‘Music‘ took home not one, but three awards at the Golden Raspberry Awards on 23rd April- Worst Actress (for Kate Hudson), Worst Supporting Actress (for Maddie Ziegler), and Worst Director( for Sia!)

A Controversial Portrayal

While the Oscars celebrate the Best in the Film world, the Golden Raspberry Awards, commonly referred to as the Razzies, helps to strike a balance by honoring the worst accomplishments ever in the same field.

Sia’s film had received a lot of criticisms earlier too when she cast a neurotypical actor to play the role of an autistic character( Maddie Ziegler). People were also not happy with certain scenes in the movie which depicted the use of restraints on autistic people.

These scenes were however deleted after the Cheap Thrills singer took to her social media handle to apologize for the same. She decided to delete her account soon after that too.

We definitely can’t guarantee that you might like her Movie as much as you love her music, but it wouldn’t hurt to watch the trailer, would it? Check it out below.
