The pandemic has been a difficult time and hasn’t spared anyone the inconvenience. This definitely hasn’t stopped the artist from giving us comforting and lovely music. One such singer is the ‘Wolves’ hit maker Selena Gomez who just revealed that her upcoming Spanish album was recorded almost entirely on Zoom.
While shooting with Vevo, Gomez shared this information in a behind-the-scenes video. During the shoot of ‘De Una Vez’ music video, the singer revealed the recording process. “Revelacion” is her first ever Spanish album which is slated for release on March 12th.
Gomez said “‘De Una Vez’ was one of the first songs I worked on pretty early on,” in the video that is close to 3-minutes long. “At the time, doing a Spanish project was just an idea being bounced around. Then the rest of the project just kind of happened really quickly and organically.” Gomez added.
“As for the process, we actually recorded almost the entire EP on Zoom due to COVID.” Gomez told the source. She also credited emerging Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose as one of EP’s “biggest” collaborators and vital in the making of the album. “[Elena Rose is] an incredible female writer who I think really understands my heart and what I wanted to say in this project”, she said.
The track ‘De Una Vez’ released on January 14th scoring Gomez her second top-five on the Hot Latin Songs chart. The track debuted at No.4 according to the survey conducted on January 30th.
The upbeat pop track produced by Tainy, Albert Hype, Jota Rosa and Neon16 is preceded by her second Spanish single ‘Baila Conmigo’. The track has Gomez collaborating with Rauw Alejandro.
