Selena Gomez Just Finished Producing A Rom-Com

As cinemas across the globe gradually open up, the first major film to hit theatres in the US is, ‘The Broken Hearts Gallery’. It’s set to hit the silver screens on July 10th. And oh, did we mention that Selena Gomez is the executive producer on this project?

The ‘Broken Hearts Gallery’ is a Rom Com and it features quite the star cast. From the likes of, Dacre Montgomery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Molly Gordon, Phillipa Soo, Suki Waterhouse, Arturo Castro, Ego Nwodim, and more. Oh and we know you’re curious about the plot, so here, we’ve gathered just enough to keep the suspense.

The plot sees a brokenhearted museum curator who begins a collection of things connected to break-ups and blogs about it.  
Described as a ‘feel-good’ film, it explores the concept of moving on and will possibly also pepper in some bizarre, comedic breakup stories. After all, it is a Comedy film, just the thing everyone’s looking for right now. 

Selena Gomez Discusses the Film Release

Speaking about her experience in producing this film and other health concerns as it’s soon to hit theatres, Selena Gomez had this to say:

“Hearing from more female writers and directors is very much needed. I understand people’s concerns regarding returning to activities we all loved prior to COVID-19. I hope everyone will listen to scientists’ recommendations and consider others’ health and safety while enjoying the movie theater experience”.

While Selena has had her time in front of the camera, growing up as a Disney star. It’s interesting to watch musicians dabble with Directing and Producing too. In fact, yet another star who’s taken her spot behind the camera is Sia. Her debut film, ‘Music‘ is also set to release soon, after 5 years in the making. 

Once again, we have to say, it’s a lot of fun to watch artists try their hand at something new.
