Selena Gomez is All Set to Star in A New Comedy Series

Selena Gomez has enjoyed her time under the spotlight after the release of the remixed version of ‘Past Life’ featuring Trevor Daniel. And now, it looks like she’s prepared to explore a different avenue before diving back into the music scene. Currently, she’s got a brand new tv show on her list. 

Selena is all set to star alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in the comedy series, ‘Only Murders in the Building’. Now, we know you’re curious about the plot, so don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Created and written by Martin and John Hoffman, the plot “revolves around three strangers who share an obsession with true crime who suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.” 

Interestingly, Selena will be both in front of and behind the camera as she’s also the executive producer on this project. This isn’t her first gig as a producer. The star settled into this very role for the hit Netflix series, ‘13 Reasons Why‘ too. 

Though, when it comes to acting, ‘Only Murders in the Building’ follows some of her older projects like, ‘The Dead Don’t Die’, ‘A Rainy Day in New York’, ‘The Fundamentals of Caring’ and more.  

In other news, Gomez is also dabbling in a bit of cooking. The star is the executive producer and host on a brand new HBO show titled, ‘Selena + Chef’. Each episode is set to highlight a food-related charity and will premiere on August 13th. 

Well, there’s clearly lots to look forward to and it’ll certainly be quite a thrill to watch Selena dabble in this new comedy series.
