Roddy Ricch Says His Next Album is a “Masterpiece”

Roddy Ricch has had quite the year. As he made his mark on the music landscape with his breakout hit, ‘The Box’, the track spent 11 weeks atop the billboard Hot 100. And, now, he continues to enjoy success with his feature on DaBaby’s ‘Rockstar’ and his solo chart climber, ‘High Fashion’.

And as fans stay well fed with music from the star, many have been calling for a new album. Ricch’s last release, “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” came out in December of 2019. And, while there’s no concrete information on his upcoming project, the star said this in a recent interview with GQ: “The next album is going to be a full blown masterpiece.”

In addition, the 21 year old went on to tease fans in the interview. About the album in works, he said, “Could I drop a new album right now? Yes. Will I? No.” Roddy Ricch, who has been busy working on his craft in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, talked about what he wants his next studio album to be. And, in what is a promising taste of what’s to come, the rapper says it will be “a real idea. A real body of work.”

So, while we may not have a release date, title or…anything, really, we know we’re in for a wild ride. And, just to put things in perspective, his last album went on to win multiple awards and be crowned Album of the Year at the BET Awards. So, Roddy Ricch is only headed sky high. And, we’re ready for it.
